Real Madrid have scheduled a surprise press conference for this afternoon to be attended by Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez.
The Coach and president will confront the press with speculation surrounding the purpose of the event, which has taken Spanish media by surprise, at 1pm CEST (12pm GMT).
The consensus is that it surrounds Zidane’s position at the club, with his current deal running through to June 2020, but it is unclear if this will be in regards to a renewal or possible surprise exit.
The French boss took the helm at Madrid in January 2016, succeeding Rafael Benitez, and has guided the club to three consecutive Champions League titles in 30 months.
