PSG ‘to tempt’ Ronaldo from Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of a remarkable deal for Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to reports in the Spanish press.

Diario AS lead on Wednesday with claims that the Portuguese star is top of the French champion’s shopping list and they would be willing to offer him net annual wages of €45m – equalling Lionel Messi.

Citing the words of the 33-year-old in the immediate aftermath of the Champions League final: “It was very nice to be in Madrid, in the next few days I will talk”, the report states PSG are the first club ‘to act’.

However, PSG are reportedly not willing to offer more than €150m – while Ronaldo’s release clause stands at an eye-watering €1000m – and the club are also wary of meeting UEFA’s Financial Fair Play demands.

Goncalo Guedes, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria are all expected to be sold by the Parisians but it would not be enough to land such a deal.
