Ronaldo hints at Madrid exit

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he could leave Real Madrid this summer. “I’ll give an answer in the next few days…”

Ronaldo won his fifth Champions League on Saturday after Madrid’s 3-1 win against Liverpool and ran out as the competition’s top scorer with 10 goals, but the No 7 failed to find the back of Loris Karius’ net in Kiev.

“Who was the Pichichi [top scorer] again?” asked the 33-year-old when quizzed on his performance.

“The Champions League should be renamed the CR7 Champions League… I’ve won five of them and I’m top scorer again, so I can’t be sad.

“My future? Now I’ll enjoy [this trophy], and in the next few days I’ll give an answer to the fans, who have been by my side. It was very nice to play for Madrid.

“Was that a goodbye? In the next few days I’ll give an answer. For now, we have to enjoy the moment.

“The future of any player isn’t important right now. We’ve made history. In the next few days, I’ll say something.

“I don’t have any doubts right now, it’s not important. I have to rest, go away with my national team and then in the next few weeks…”
