Villarreal have lodged a bid for in-demand Angers striker and Cameroon international Karl Toko Ekambi (pictured right), according to reports.
The 25-year-old has hit 17 goals in 35 Ligue 1 appearances this season and the Yellow Submarine have lodged a €16m bid, Get French Football News now have sourced L’Equipe as reporting.
However, the report continues that the French top-flight club are likely to reject such advances as they believe they could sell the striker for up to €25m.
The report coincides with news from Spain that Carlos Bacca, currently on loan at Villarreal from Milan, is unlikely to return to the club next season.
