Sevilla are prioritising renewing the contracts of Clement Lenglet (pictured) and Pablo Sarabia, according to reports in the Spanish press.
Estadio Deportivo say the club recognise the fundamental importance of both players to the first-team squad and view their renewal alongside the significance of appoint a new Coach.
Barcelona have been linked with a move for French defender Lenglet while former Getafe midfielder Sarabia has been tipped with a future call-up to the Spain national squad.
There is a state of flux at the club as they are currently seeking to appoint a new first-team Coach and sporting director following the dismissals of Vincenzo Montella and Oscar Arias last month.
Joaquin Caparros has been appointed at the club on an interim basis until the end of the season.
Both players had requested that talks on new deals be postponed until after the club’s Champions League and Copa del Rey campaigns to avoid distractions.
