Sevilla dismay at Montella break

Sevilla are reportedly far from happy with Vincenzo Montella after the Coach decided to return to Milan on a short break after the Copa del Rey final defeat.

The Italian returned to the city for two days following the 5-0 defeat to Barcelona on Saturday and he granted his squad a break from training on Sunday and Monday following the loss.

Marca report the Andalusian club’s hierarchy as being less than pleased with this and that it comes in the midst of the Coach’s future being on the line.

Saturday’s defeat continued the club’s miserable run of form – which has now stretched to eight games without a victory – and the real possibility of missing out on Europe altogether for next season.

Montella will reportedly return to take training on Tuesday but his future at the club remains in doubt, with Joaquin Caparros linked to a return to the club whom he managed between 2000 and 2005.
