Cristiano Ronaldo must be ‘enjoyed’ by Real Madrid fans according to Coach Zinedine Zidane as he ‘will always be remembered’.
The Portuguese forward has netted more goals (40) than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season across all competitions, including two in the Champions League first leg win at Juventus.
“I am not thinking about being without Cristiano Ronaldo, this is what we have and we are happy,” Zidane told reporters, as cited by Madrid’s website.
“There are many people who still remember Di Stefano and rightly so. I am one of those people.
“They will also remember Cristiano Ronaldo at this club. We must enjoy this player.”
The Madrid boss was then quizzed on the differences between La Liga and Serie A, which was alleged by a journalist as being ‘weak’.
Zidane responded: “No, no, I do not think it is weak.
“La Liga is the best because each match is different and each is very difficult, it can all go wrong in any game.”
