Former Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola is expected to extend his contract at Manchester City to make him the highest paid manager in the world.
The 47-year-old’s current contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in June 2019 but this new deal is expected to renew the existing agreement by a further 12 months.
Guardiola, who looks set to win his first title in England this season, looks set to put pen to paper on a £20m per annum deal – £385k per week – according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
City, who also have lifted the League Cup this season, are said to have agreed the renewal with the Catalan during their trip to Abu Dhabi last month.
