Valencia have handed a new contract to teenage winger Ferran Torres with a €100m release clause, despite him starting just one league game so far.
The 18-year-old, who is rated as one of the brightest prospects in Spain, has put pen to paper on a deal until June 2021 with Los Che after breaking into the first-team squad.
“I am delighted with this contract,” Torres told Valencia’s official website after the deal was confirmed.
“I have been at this club since I was a 7-year-old and I want to continue here for many years to come.
“I have been fighting to play for this club my entire life and now I want to repay the confidence that has been shown in me by the Coach, by the club and by the fans.”
Torres, a Spain Under-19 international, has featured 11 times in total at the Mestalla so far this season.
