Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez is expected to be out of action for two weeks after sustaining a thigh injury.
Nacho left Madrid’s 3-0 against Las Palmas in tears, having suffered the first injury of his professional career midway through the first half at Gran Canaria.
“Following tests carried out on Nacho Fernández by the Sanitas Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in the right thigh,” read a Real Madrid statement on Monday.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
The 28-year-old is expected to now miss both legs of the club’s Champions League quarter final with Juventus alongside the Madrid derby.
