Antoine Griezmann has an agreement in place to join Barcelona from Atletico Madrid this summer, according to reports.
Diario AS cites a report in Le 10 Sport from the forward’s native France, stating the forward has already committed his future to the Catalan giants despite attempts from Atleti to persuade him to stay.
The 26-year-old is said to have agreed the move to the Blaugrana last Autumn with further ‘assurances’ between the two parties since, with the forward said to have a €100m release clause.
Such a move will continue a heavy spell of spending from Barca following big outlays to attract Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Brazilian midfielder Arthur from Gremio, who will join in January.
The report also states the club are even keeping their number 7 shirt – last occupied by Arda Turan – reserved for the former Real Sociedad playmaker.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain had also been linked to Griezmann but they appear to have lost out on his signature.
