Lucas Vazquez hailed a ‘spectacular’ performance from Real Madrid as they progressed past Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
The winger was widely heralded for his own personal performance in a landmark win for Zinedine Zidane’s side, who now progress into the quarter finals of the competition.
“We were spectacular from start to finish, the whole team were,” Vazquez told Cadena Cope.
“We have to be happy, it was an extremely good result at one of the best teams in the world and of course we now progress to the next stage.
“The victory is very good for everyone, we all want to be part of games like this and to be playing on the biggest stage, how could you not?
“The World Cup? I hope I can convince (Spain Coach, Julen) Lopetegui that I have earned my spot in the squad, but I must continue to work very hard.”
