Amazon confirms La Liga series

La Liga have confirmed the first-ever Spanish original series named Six Dreams to be aired on Amazon Prime in conjunction with MediaPro.

Already well into the filming process, the show consists of stories across the season focusing on six individuals, including three players and two Coaches.

Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams, Real Betis midfielder Andres Guardado and Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid are the three players involved, while former Sevilla Coach Eduardo Berizzo, Girona’s Quique Carcel and Eibar’s female president Amaia Gorostiza also feature.

The docu-series is directed by Justin Webster, who said it will be shot in “observational, verité style with very little commentary from the episodes’ subjects but a structured narrative.”

La Liga chief Javier Tebas commented: “We like telling soccer stories, we do it live every weekend, but think there are other stories, sometimes extraordinary, which can go on entertaining during the week.”

The series is due to last six hours in duration and was presented at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
