Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa is in ‘advanced talks’ with English club Brighton and Hove Albion over a January transfer, say reports in Spain.
The 23-year-old only joined Los Verdiblancos last summer from Levante but a report in ABC de Sevilla states he is close to sealing a €10m move to the Premier League club.
The central midfielder joined Betis in a €7m deal over the summer but has started only 11 of the club’s 20 league games to date, and whilst he is valued, the club have been open to offers.
The Seville-based club are keen to maintain the bulk of their squad while this sale is said to give the necessary economic conditions to make further signings this month.
Camarasa starred for Alaves on a season-long loan deal last season, helping them to a top-half finish and a first ever Copa del Rey final, while he has also been linked to Tottenham, West Ham and Schalke.
