Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande are contemplating a January move for Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to reports in Spain.
The Frenchman joined Los Che on a season-long loan deal from Inter and has made a quick impression, netting three goals in 16 appearances.
The 24-year-old, who has never previously scored more than one goal in a campaign, has previously indicated he would be happy to remain at the Mestalla beyond the current campaign.
Super Deporte report the Chinese giants are preparing a move for the midfielder but the player is said to be unwilling to leave European football, while neither Inter nor Valencia – who have a purchase option – are keen for him to move.
Kondogbia has helped propel Valencia into La Liga’s top three, forging a strong central midfield pairing with Dani Parejo.
