Philippe Coutinho says “it’s a dream come true” to join Barcelona and “play with my idols” at Camp Nou.
Coutinho will be unveiled by Barca at Camp Nou on Monday, having arrived to complete a €160m transfer from Liverpool, but the attacker had a message for his new fans before then.
“Barca fans, I’m here,” he said on social media.
“It’s a dream come true! I hope we see each other tomorrow. Visca Barca!”
The Brazilian added on Barca TV: “I’m very happy. I’ve always said that this is a dream I’m living, and my family and I are very happy.
“My desire is to be able to play here, win trophies and make the fans happy. These are my objectives.
“I also want to play with my idols, historic players like Messi, Luis Suarez, Iniesta, Pique Busquets…
“I’m very happy to be with them and to be able to learn from them.”
