Nike’s official website appeared to announce Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona from Liverpool late on Saturday.
The alleged announcement was online for more than an hour, and there has been no word on whether it was premature on Nike’s part or merely a hack.
“Where the magic happens… Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou,” read the homepage of Nike’s official store for Blaugrana apparel.
The page also explained how the sportswear giant offered free Coutinho personalisation for Barca kits purchased before January 6.
