Valencia Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has missed his side’s return to first-team training following his car crash with a wild boar on Christmas Eve.
The former Villarreal Coach was travelling back to his native Asturias for the Christmas holidays but his BMW was involved in a serious crash with the animal on the road.
Los Che’s squad were given a five-day break from training over Christmas but returned on Friday morning but Marcelino missed his duties due to medical advice.
“Valencia CF Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral will spend the coming days at rest, on medical advice,” read a Valencia club statement on Friday.
“He will do so in order to be completely fit and well after his recent car accident, before getting back involved with Valencia and his first-team duties.”
