Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone has hinted Luciano Vietto and Nicolas Gaitan could leave the club in the January transfer window.
Diego Costa and Vitolo will be registered to play for Los Rojiblancos next month and they look set to take the place of the two Argentines in the squad.
Vietto has netted only one La Liga goal since joining from Villarreal in 2015 while Gaitan has started only one league match this campaign.
“Vietto played a lot at the start of the season and was one of our best footballers but unfortunately could not score goals,” Siimeone told Diario AS.
“Because of this, we then looked to rotate and try different attacking combinations, which the players understand.
“Gaitan has played less than that of course and I have spoken with him at length, it was interesting, but now the club will make a decision on what is best.”
