Luis Suarez has backed reports of Barcelona making moves for both Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho next year.
The Atletico Madrid forward and Liverpool playmaker have both been linked with moves to the Camp Nou with further speculation this week that deals could go through in the summer.
“Barcelona always want to sign the best players,” Suarez told Catalan radio station Rac1.
“Both Griezmann and Coutinho are at that level, they are elite players and have long careers in front of them.
“Griezmann needs to play alongside a number nine and that is a system which would work here, he would bring a lot to the team and be a big asset to us and to our Coach.”
Last week, a report in El Mundo Deportivo suggested Barca had held a meeting with Griezmann and officials later refused the opportunity to dismiss such reports.
