Future Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior has cast doubt over when he will move to the Bernabeu after stating his commitment to Flamengo.
The teenager is keen to win the Copa Libertadores with the Brazilian club before moving to Europe, despite the initial plan being for him to join Madrid in the summer of 2018.
“My plan is to stay here until the end of 2018,” Vinicius told reporters, as quoted by Diario AS.
“I want to win the Copa Libertadores here and then it will be time for me to move on to another club.
“There has not been any decision made yet and I won’t begin to properly consider my future until the New Year, as I’ve only just started my holiday.”
Madrid agreed a €45m deal with the Brazilian last year, with the forward since establishing himself in Flamengo’s first-team squad.
