Barcelona are ‘very far ahead’ of Manchester United in the race to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, according to a report.
The 26-year-old forward has a €100m release clause in his contract at Los Rojiblancos with strong rumours he will leave the club next summer.
A report in The Independent states that all three clubs believe the French international is now more likely to be playing at the Camp Nou next season than anywhere else.
In his new biography, Griezmann wrote that joining Manchester United ‘was a possibility’ and he is believed to have ruled out a move to Old Trafford last summer due to Atleti’s player registration ban.
Barca have also been linked to a number of attacking options after Ousmane Dembele replaced Neymar, most prominently Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool.
