Gareth Bale will return to first-team action with Real Madrid against Fuenlabrada after two months out, Zinedine Zidane has confirmed.
Los Blancos host the Segunda B outfit having won last month’s first leg 2-0 at Estadio Fernando Torres and are in pole position to progress to the next round.
“Gareth will be in the squad for the match,” Zidane confirmed to a news conference on Monday, in quotes carried by Diario AS.
“We are not yet sure how long he will play but he will play, everybody wants to see him doing well and all he needs now is to be playing football.
“I like that we are capable of playing in many ways with different styles but I would particularly like to see Bale play with Cristiano and Benzema as a free up front.
“It has been a long while since we have enjoyed that, but that is what we would like.”
Bale’s last appearance for Los Blancos came against Borussia Dortmund on September 26 and he has missed 11 matches in total.
