Ramos: I’d bleed 1,000 times for Madrid

Sergio Ramos has reaffirmed his commitment to Real Madrid and would ‘bleed a thousand times’ for the club after breaking his nose in Saturday’s derby.

The 31-year-old was withdrawn at half time in the goalless draw after receiving a kick to the face from Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez, with blood stemming from his nose.

“I would bleed a thousand times more for this badge and for this shirt,” Ramos posted on his Twitter account.

“Thank you all for the love and support. I will be back in no time. #HalaMadrid.”

Madrid’s captain is certain to miss his side’s trip to APOEL in the Champions League while he is a doubt for their next La Liga clash against Malaga and their Copa Del Rey tie with Fuenlabrada.

Reports indicate he will not undergo surgery for the injury.
