Suarez concerned by poor form

Luis Suarez has confessed he is concerned at his current poor run of form but is confident his performances will soon improve.

The Uruguayan is without a goal in his last five appearances for Barcelona and only struck once in his last eight as he has struggled this season, despite his side winning matches.

“I’m always self-critical and I’m constantly asking myself what I could do better,” Suarez told an interview with El Mundo Deportivo.

“What I will say is that I will never give up and never stop trying, as fighting is what has brought me so far in my career to date.

“Of course there are some things I must correct and improve upon but things must be in perspective and the most important thing is that the team are winning.

“Right now the team is performing very well and getting the requisite results without my goals but of course my tally and output must improve.

“Sometimes I have not been happy because of a pain in my knee but generally speaking this is just a poor spell of form that I am confident will soon improve.

“When your confidence is lower you make more mistakes and give the ball away more frequently which is a concern and is bothering me at the moment.”
