Ousmane Dembele may return from injury in time to play against Real Madrid before Christmas, according to the doctor who operated on him.
The French forward, who moved to the Camp Nou in a €105m deal this summer, ruptured his tendon in only his third appearance for the Blaugrana against Getafe in September.
“It is more advanced than we expected,” Sakari Oravi told Cadena SER.
“We don’t know if it’s possible or not for him to come back ahead of scheduled like he wants to but he might be able to play against Madrid, but I can’t guarantee anything.
“At the moment he is training in Barca’s sandpits and in a few weeks he should be able to touch a ball again.
“He needs to talk things at a sensible pace as rushing things might result in another injury.”
