Sergio Ramos believes Real Madrid will answer their critics by putting those who think they are ‘dead’, back in ‘their place’.
Los Blancos suffered a second successive defeat under Zinedine Zidane for the first time as Wednesday night’s 3-1 loss at Spurs followed the 2-1 La Liga defeat to Girona.
“For those of us who think Real Madrid are dead, we will put you in your place,” Ramos is quoted as saying by Marca after the match.
“The result is not reflective of the match, not to take away of the praise for Spurs but this is true.
“We know what pressure can do but we will bounce back from this very quickly and we must remain calm.
“The Champions League is our favourite competition and we did some great things in this game that won’t be remembered because of the result.
“Again, no finger should be pointed at an one player, we must improve as a team and keep working.”
