Camarasa: Seville derby ‘most important’

Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa believes his side’s derby matches with Sevilla are ‘the most important in all of Spain’.

The two Seville rivals do not meet this season until January but the 23-year-old midfielder is already excited for being involved in the matches.

“It is the most important derby in all of Spain,” Camarasa told El Desmarque.

“When you arrive here you find out it is the most important thing, a very special match and rivalry, we hope this season we can enjoy the experience and bring that joy to our fans.

“As soon as I arrived I discovered immediately what drives this club – the fans. Beticos are everywhere and they push us on.

“To be here is a very important step in my career, this city breathes football and I am very happy to be at this great club.

“My injury? I have recovered quicker than I expected and it was unfortunate that my injury came just at the moment everything was going so well.

“There is great competition for places here and recovering my place will not be easy but that will make me work even harder.”
