Coutinho’s Liverpool exit ‘pact’

Philippe Coutinho has a ‘pact’ with Liverpool which would allow him to leave the club for Barcelona in January, according to reports in Spain.

The Brazilian playmaker has been a long-term target of the Blaugrana who made several attempts to sign him during the summer transfer window.

All of the Catalan club’s efforts were rejected by Liverpool which led to the former Inter playmaker submitting a transfer request at Anfield.

El Mundo Deportivo now report Barca are ‘still in regular contact’ with the 25-year-old, who has scored three goals for Jurgen Klopp’s men this season.

They are confident the player still wants to leave Liverpool and a ‘compromise’ was reached in England which would see the Reds accept ‘a reasonable bid’ from Barcelona in January.

However, there is no indication of what such a bid would be although the report does suggests it would be similar to those lodged during summer, thought to be €110m, of which €80m was paid up front.
