Pep Guardiola has ‘approved’ of the next Bayern Munich Coach after being informed of his identity by the club’s president Uli Hoeness.
The current Manchester City boss met with the Bayern official earlier this week and was reportedly told of the new manager of the Bundesliga champions, with Carlo Ancelotti dismissed last week.
“It was a friendly meeting between us and of course we exchanged ideas,” Hoeness is quoted as saying by Diario Sport.
“I informed him who we will be appointing and this will be announced in the coming days, but he approved of the decision.
“We renewed our friendship and it was a productive meeting, but it was nothing more than that.”
Former Barcelona Coach Luis Enrique and previous Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel are both among the contenders for the job.
