Preview: Sevilla-Malaga

Sevilla host Malaga in an Andalusian derby on Saturday, with Eduardo Berizzo’s side needing to bounce back and the visitors still winless.

Sevilla boss Berizzo on facing ‘wounded’ opponents: “This game is significant. It’ll be good for us to go into the international break with a victory.

“Malaga? They find themselves in a complex situation, but they’re wounded rivals of ours, the alarm bells are ringing for them and they’ll put all their tension into this match.

“We need to move the ball forward and attack quickly. They’ve had a bit of an indifferent start to the season, so they’ll be keen to make things right.”

Malaga boss Michel Gonzalez: “We have to face the match, knowing that we have to exploit the weaknesses of our opponents.

“We’ll go with that mindset as it’s the best way to face this game. Sevilla have been winning, but they’ve also had moments when they’ve suffered.

“I think that if my team play at a high level, it’ll be harder to see the difference between the two teams in the table because there isn’t so much.

“We haven’t been so bad in terms of gameplay, and that’s why we have hope.”
