Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet believes the club can secure a top three La Liga finish as they ‘are better than last season’.
The French Under-21 international, who joined Los Rojiblancos from Nancy in January, believes his side are stronger than Atletico Madrid and can continue to improve under new Coach Eduardo Berizzo, who has replaced Jorge Sampaoli.
“Our ambition is to improve upon last season,” Lenglet told Marca.
“Last season we finished fourth so now we want to fight for a top three finish, we believe it is possible to finish above Atletico, we are better than last season.
“I'm very young and have lots of work and improving still to do, but I trust that I will be given a lot of game time.
“The Coach is telling me how to improve every day and this will make me a stronger and better defender.”
