Kylian Mbappe has revealed he advised France international teammate Ousmane Dembele to join Barcelona last month.
Mbappe himself joined Paris Saint-Germain in an initial loan agreement from Monaco while Dembele, 20, completed his move to the Camp Nou from Borussia Dortmund.
“We talked about his future and he asked me what I thought he should do, so I told him to go there (to Barcelona) because it was a fantastic chance for him,” Mbappe told Footmercato.
“He has the potential to go and become a great player alongside Messi and Suarez in attack. He's going to improve a lot – he possesses incredible talent, but he can make another step up.”
The Blaugrana will pay up to €150m for Dembele with add-ons, while PSG’s eventual permanent deal for Mbappe will reach €180m.
