Isco wants ‘very long’ Madrid stay

Real Madrid playmaker Isco hopes to stay at the club ‘for a very long time’ despite not yet renewing his contract, which expires next year.

The 25-year-old’s deal at the Bernabeu expires in June 2018 and he has yet to put pen to paper on a new contract, but has reiterated his desire to do so.

“I want to stay at Madrid for a very long time – for many years,” Isco told Cadena Ser.

“I have always wanted to be a success at Madrid, even during those times when I was not getting as much playing time.

“I was adamant I would not give up and so here I am now – I feel important right now and feel very comfortable, so now I want to keep going in this manner for both Madrid and Spain.”

Isco, formerly of Valencia and Malaga, has netted 33 goals across 191 appearances for Los Blancos.
