Soriano ruled out for three weeks

Villarreal midfielder Roberto Soriano has been ruled out of action for three weeks with a sprained knee injury.

The 26-year-old sat out his side’s opening day defeat at Levante on Monday night while he is also ruled out of the upcoming clashes with Real Sociedad and Real Betis.

The German-born midfield had spent his entire career at Sampdoria before joining the Yellow Submarine last summer, netting ten goals in an impressive debut campaign.

Soriano joins a lengthy list of absentees for the Yellow Submarine which includes Bruno, Sergio Asenjo, Mario Gaspar, Denis Cheryshev, Adrian Marin and Daniele Bonera.
