Barca ‘all the way’ for Coutinho

Barcelona will reportedly go “all the way” for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, despite having a €125m bid rejected.

The Daily Mirror reported on Friday that Barca’s offer would only rise to €125m through a series of bonuses, which were “difficult to reach”.

Three of the bonuses entailed the Catalans winning more than one trophy per season, more than one Champions League throughout the duration of the attacking midfielder’s first contract at Camp Nou and him being awarded the Ballon d’Or.

However, Mundo Deportivo claims Barca are not giving up on Coutinho and will continue negotiations with Liverpool next week “to unravel the situation”.

The 25-year-old has not played for the Reds since handing in a transfer request on August 11, although the club insist his absence is due to a back injury.
