Sergio Busquets has called on Barcelona to make further signings this summer and states it is ‘obvious’ they need to reinvest money in their attack.
The 29-year-old was speaking after the club confirmed a deal for Brazilian midfielder Paulinho to follow the arrivals of Marlon Santos, Gerard Deulofeu and Nelson Semedo at Camp Nou this summer.
“We need to improve each season,” Busquets told reporters ahead of the Supercopa second leg.
“Obviously Neymar's position is where we've lost something…it's obvious signings are needed. We have to strengthen the squad. We need attacking players to make up for the loss of Neymar.
“But every position can be strengthened, and the more quality players that come in the better it will be.
“I hope the best players arrive and that they bring the competition to give our Coach big decisions to make.
“The Supercopa? We know winning the trophy will be difficult but we are not giving up.
“We need to score three, but we've done that before at the Bernabeu so we will go out, try to be solid and get ourselves into a position to win the tie.”
