Agent: Bacca wants Sevilla return

Carlos Bacca’s agent claims the striker “wants to return to Sevilla” after falling out of favour at Milan.

Sevilla sold Bacca to Milan for €30m two summers ago, but the Colombian’s relationship with Coach Vincenzo Montella became strained last season and the Rossoneri have made no secret of their desire to bring in a new No 9.

“It is now well known that Carlos wants to return to Sevilla,” Sergio Barila told AS.

“He had a splendid personal and sporting experience in that city, which is why he wants to return.

“This is an important year for players, that of the World Cup, so he needs to play in order to take part. He is in good shape physically and ready for a great season.

“When Bacca arrived at Milan, he signed a five-year contract and had every intention of seeing it through to the last day of that agreement.

“Unfortunately, there was a change at the helm and now the Rossoneri have other ideas.

“The best thing to do would be to find a solution that makes everyone happy.”

Bacca, who turns 31 next month, scored 49 goals in 108 appearances for Sevilla in his first spell between 2013 and 2015, winning back-to-back Europa Leagues.
