Valencia reach Murillo agreement – report

Valencia have overcome their impasse with Inter in the negotiations for Jeison Murillo and now look set to sign the defender, say reports in Spain.

According to Superdeporte, Los Che raised their bid for the Colombian for €13m plus bonuses after their initial €10m bid was rejected, with Inter asking initially for €15m.

The report continues the 25-year-old has turned down approaches from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur as he has already given his word to officials at the Mestalla and is expected to sign a five-year deal at the club.

The Colombia international spent four seasons in Spain across stints with Cadiz, Las Palmas and Granada before moved to the Milanese giants in 2015.

Despite featuring 68 times for the Nerazzurri across two seasons, his future looks uncertain following the arrival of Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar from Sampdoria.

Valencia are searching for defensive signings with Aymen Abdennour, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Vezo and Ezequiel Garay all linked with moves away from the club.
