Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann is Barcelona’s number one transfer target to replace Neymar, who is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain, say reports.
According to Diario Sport, the Frenchman is ‘the favourite’ to replace the Brazilian star, who is thought to be on the verge of penning a deal at the Parisians once his €222m release clause is triggered.
The Blaugrana are expected to reinvest the money for the 25-year-old immediately into their squad and whilst Griezmann extended his contract at Los Rojiblancos earlier this summer, his release clause remains at €100m.
Sport’s splash on Griezmann follows up on reports in Monday’s Marca that the Catalans are eyeing up the former La Real star, who was heavily linked to Manchester United earlier this summer.
El Mundo Deportivo meanwhile have identified Ousmane Dembele and Angel Di Maria as the two prime targets for Ernesto Valverde’s men in what looks set to be a busy month at the Camp Nou.
