Getafe have completed the double signing of Dani Pacheco and Francisco Portillo from Real Betis on permanent deals, the club have confirmed.
Both players enjoyed instrumental loan deals with Los Azulones last season and helped ensure the Madrid-based club’s immediate return to La Liga with promotion through the playoffs.
Former Liverpool youth player Pacheco ensured his third straight promotion in a row – having won Segunda with parent club Betis in 2015 and on loan at Alaves the following year – and netted six goals in 34 league appearances last season.
27-year-old midfielder Portillo, four goals in 37 Segunda appearances, has played 91 times in La Liga across spells at Malaga and Betis.
There are now five former Verdiblancos players on permanent deals at Getafe, with Jorge Molina, Francisco Molinero and Chuli also at the club.
La Liga’s new boys are also set to sign winger Alvaro Jimenez, on loan at the club last season, from Real Madrid for €1m.
