Saul Niguez has downplayed speculation linking him with a move away from Atletico Madrid, stating he is solely focused on the Spanish Under 21 side.

Earlier this week, reports in Spain linked the 23-year-old with a move to Barcelona, who were said to be willing to pay his €80m release clause should they not land Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

"I have not heard any [of the rumours over his future at Atletico]," Saul is quoted as saying by AS.

"Anyway if I had to do anything about my future, it would be after the Euros. Because I am focused on this tournament."

It is unlikely Los Rojiblancos would sanction any deals below release clauses due to their FIFA-imposed registration ban on signing new players until January 2018.
