Sevilla bid €13m for Muriel?

Sevilla have reportedly had a bid of €13m plus bonuses for striker Luis Muriel rejected by Sampdoria.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Muriel is a top target for Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias, despite signing a contract extension until 2021 back in March.

Sky Sport Italia adds the Andalusians are among the clubs most interested in the 26-year-old, alongside Valencia and Lazio.

However, Il Secolo XIX claims Samp knocked back Sevilla’s opening offer, while ED tried – and failed – to contact the player’s agent Alessandro Lucci.

Muriel does not hold an EU passport, meaning Los Nervionenses must sell a non-EU player or hope Mariano receives dual citizenship before they can even register the attacker.

The Colombian scored 13 goals and assisted nine in 33 appearances for the Italians last season.
