Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao looks set to join Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal, according to reports.
Marca state the 29-year-old – who joined Madrid from Sporting’s city rivals Benfica in 2011 – is set for a summer departure from the Bernabeu and the report points to his absence from the Champions League celebrations on Sunday.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo has reported Sporting are ‘poised’ to complete a loan deal for the full-back who has not played more than 10 La Liga matches in one single season for Madrid since 2012-13.
Both reports state Coentrao, capped 51 times by Portugal, only needs to pass his medical at Estadio Alvalade to complete the deal with total agreement between both clubs.
