Atleti ‘confident’ on transfer ban verdict

Atletico Madrid will find out whether or not their FIFA transfer ban is lifted on Wednesday, with a decision hugely influencing this summer’s transfer market.

According to AS, Los Rojiblancos have a number of transfer targets lined up this summer and the club are confident their ban will be lifted for the summer window.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa is described as the ‘great dream’ of the club which has become more realistic after he confessed he would only leave Stamford Bridge for an Atletico return.

The report continues Atleti are willing to trigger the release clauses of Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez and Sevilla winger Vitolo, which are €6m and €40m respectively.

A deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has already reportedly been informally agreed while want-away Manchester City forward Nolito and Monaco’s Fabinho are also on Diego Simeone’s radar.
