Celta Vigo Assistant Coach Ernesto Marcucci has complained refereeing decisions in his side’s defeat to Real Madrid were inconsistent.
Celta striker Iago Aspas was dismissed for a second yellow card for apparent simulation while Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo was not punished for a similar incident.
"There was a situation where diving was punished with a yellow for Aspas, and two minutes later Cristiano is not punished,” Marcucci is quoted as saying by Marca.
"I was far away from the two incidents, but I understand that Cristiano should have been booked for the same thing. Iago's sending off tilted the game."
The 4-1 victory for Madrid took them to within one point of the title – a draw or better at Malaga on Sunday will clinch their first La Liga crown in five years.
