Coutinho ‘agrees terms’ with Barca

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has agreed terms with Barcelona and is waiting for the two clubs to agree a fee, say reports in Spain.

Diario Sport state the Blaugrana and Paris Saint-Germain had both initially required about the Brazilian star, but Coutinho had no desire to move to Ligue 1.

The report continues that whilst any fee involved for his transfer is likely ‘to be very high’, the former Inter playmaker has ensured Barca that he will tell the Premier League club of his intention to leave, which should speed up negotiations.

The Catalans have reportedly told Coutinho he would be guaranteed first-team opportunities at the Camp Nou due to his ability and versatility in attacking positions.

The Liverpool man’s desire to make the move is propelled by his hunger for winning trophies – he is yet to land a major trophy at Anfield since his move to England in January 2013.
