Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone has hailed Antoine Griezmann as the ‘complete footballer’ and his influential dressing room role.
The French forward has netted 15 La Liga goals in 30 starts this season and his future has been the subject of much speculation, but his manager took the time to underline his influence at the club.
“He is the complete footballer,” Simeone told his press conference after Saturday’s routine La Liga win over Osasuna.
“It’s hard to tell which position he plays because he’s everywhere, he works like a central midfielder, assists like a number 10 and finishes like a number 9.
“He continues to grow in stature, he knows that the end of the season is very important for him and he’s taken on an essential role of responsibility within the team.
“Leicester? We expect a fantastic night of football at an English ground with a great atmosphere, the crowd very close – it’s a great stadium for the pressure they put you under and their team feels stronger there, we expect a night of pure football.”
