Barcelona have confirmed midfielder Arda Turan will be unavailable for the next three weeks due to a groin injury sustained on international duty.
Turan missed Turkey’s 3-1 friendly win over Moldova on Monday after hurting his groin, but did play the full 90 minutes of Friday’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Finland.
The Turkey captain is now set to miss Barca’s next four La Liga outings alongside the first leg of the Champions League quarter final away to Juventus.
"Medical tests conducted this Wednesday morning have confirmed that first team player Arda Turan has an injury to the adductor muscle in his right groin,” read a Barcelona statement.
“He is expected to be unavailable for about three weeks."
The 30-year-old will miss league games with Granada, Sevilla, Malaga and Real Sociedad but is expected to return for the second leg against Juventus on 19 April and El Clasico four days on from that.
