Alba wants Isco at Barcelona

Barcelona full-back Jordi Alba would welcome his club making a sensational attempt to try and sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco.

The former Valencia and Malaga midfielder is willing to quit the Bernabeu this summer with Alba – who was a teammate of Isco’s at the Mestalla – admitting he would welcome a move for his international colleague at the Blaugrana.

"All good players are welcome," Alba told reporters at the opening of a football school carrying his name in L'Hospitalet del Llobregat.

"I have an appreciation for Isco. I know him from when we were at Valencia together and I know that he has a lot of quality. Anything else, time will tell."

Only twelve players have ever gone on to play for Barca following a stint at Madrid but that list includes current Catalan boss Luis Enrique, although the most recent player on the list is Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o.
